One of those inexplicable British things that, as a Kiwi kid, you encountered from time to time in the UK&#8217;s pop-culture output.<\/p>\n<p>Frank Sidebottom was the creation of <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Chris_Sievey\">Chris Sievey<\/a>, and it was somewhere between comic genius and outsider art. Sievey died last week, only 54 years old.<\/p>\n<p><object width=\"480\" height=\"385\"><param name=\"movie\" value=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/v\/Fbuq8sb_wu0&amp;hl=en_GB&amp;fs=1\"><\/param><param name=\"allowFullScreen\" value=\"true\"><\/param><param name=\"allowscriptaccess\" value=\"always\"><\/param><\/object><\/p>\n<p>Frank Sidebottom was punk.
