I think it&#8217;s sorta interesting, plus it has something like a billion Star Wars links in it. So, you know, <a href=\"http:\/\/ruminator.co.nz\/why-well-never-quit-star-wars\/\">go take a look<\/a>, and tweet it or whatever. Tweets feel great.<\/p>\n<p>Since then I&#8217;ve discovered this week&#8217;s Star Wars linky: Lando sings karaoke in the Cantina bar.<br \/>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/LF44EDcjBeg\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/dangerousminds.net\/comments\/the_flying_man_darkly_original_short_film_asks_what_if_superheroes\">A short film that offers an ominous take on the idea of what a superpowered being would mean in the world<\/a>. I haven&#8217;t had a chance to watch it yet but it seems like it&#8217;d be hot stuff.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/slacktory.com\/2013\/07\/twin-peaks-all-the-pie-and-coffee\/\">Twin Peaks pie &#038; coffee: supercut &#038; infographic<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Huge US govt dept displays an admirable thoroughness in computer security: <a href=\"http:\/\/arstechnica.com\/information-technology\/2013\/07\/us-agency-baffled-by-modern-technology-destroys-mice-to-get-rid-of-viruses\/\">smash everything with a brick.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.salon.com\/2013\/07\/07\/%E2%80%9Cwhy_did_you_shoot_me_i_was_reading_a_book_the_new_warrior_cop_is_out_of_control\/\">Genuinely disturbing account of increasing deployment of armed response units in U.S. policing<\/a>. Founded on the same mix of paranoia and unchecked power that causes most of that nation&#8217;s problems as it shuffles backwards into some kind of weird capitalist authoritarianism. (Not that any other nation is free of this kind of overreach.)<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=ETfiUYij5UE\">Biggie vs. Thomas (the Tank Engine)<\/a> (via Richard Burge)<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/makezine.com\/2013\/07\/06\/the-rockwell-integrated-space-plan-vector-redux-version\/\">The Rockwell Integrated Space Plan<\/a>. (Space as in rocketships, not space as in architectural design.)<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/anagramatron.tumblr.com\/\">The Anagramaton<\/a>: a Twitter bot that finds tweets that are anagrams of each other. Amazing. (via DavidR who got it via Mike Upton; no, I&#8217;ve been corrected, via Mike who got it from David)<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/probs99.tumblr.com\/\">99 Problems<\/a> (via Mike Sands)<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/radar.oreilly.com\/2013\/06\/the-crypto-currency-ecosystem.html\">Fascinating wee article about crypto-currencies like Bitcoin and how they work<\/a>. Well worth a look, especially if (like me) you occasionally suspect you should know more about Bitcoin.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/kindleworlds.amazon.com\/\">Kindle Worlds<\/a>: release your fanfiction through this official route, earn real money, get incredibly rich. Okay maybe not that last one. An odd selection of worlds there at launch&#8230;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?feature=player_embedded&#038;v=Np450xMSncE\">Huge book domino chain at the Seattle public library<\/a> (which is a really cool space, I hung out there quite a bit when in Seattle)<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/readingthemaps.blogspot.co.nz\/2013\/06\/rambo-revolutionary.html\">How Rambo was perceived in Tonga and Bougainville<\/a>.
