No doubt you’ve seen the remix Gotye made of his most famous track, entirely from YouTube clips of people covering (or parodying) the song. Svend has pointed out this was inspired by the interesting remix project ThruYou. There is also a TED talk.

    Whaaat? No ‘Harrison Linky’? Nooo!

RIP Harry Harrison. I should have read more of you when I was a younger simian 🙁

I have sadly neglected Harry Harrison. I think I read one Stainless book, once? And Bil the Galactic Hero, maybe? Both when I was verra young.

I acknowledge this is a sign of moral decrepitude on my part.

I can’t judge. There’ll be a bit on Jetsam, but it’ll be a veeery small bit, as indicated above.

    Still, from Gaiman: http://www.wired.com/underwire/2012/08/neil-gaiman-harry-harrison/

    Okay, done. Back to you.

LOVED the socks! Though I’m pretty sure that Voodoo Lounge one might be some stealth grundies. Favourite is a toss-up between Daydream nation and Pink Flag. Oh, Wire. How can I choose between you and Sonic Youth?

Mo Farah better than I’d imagined! As was Sir Mix a Lot mixed. A lot.

All good. Sand was indeed fascinating, too.
