Mildlife

(As in, there are two kinds of life, wildlife and mildlife. Ah, ferget it.)
I am currently feeling snowed under. Commitments made 2 weeks to 3 months ago are coming to fruition and it is hard to maintain momentum on key projects. In order that my Jan and Feb do not continue the trend, expect me to be turning down invitations with greater frequency. It ain’t personal.
There is a moderately long list of people I have said I’d meet for coffee/whatever and never have. If you are reading this and on the list, apologies. I lose track. Remind me – the way my social wiring works, if someone contacts me about a promise made, I spring into action, but if I remind myself, I leave it on the to-do list. Funny old brain that it is.
I loved this post from Susan (two Susan quotes in three posts – take this to mean that you should all read her blog). It sprang from a conversation she had about internet dating, and as usual Susan brings expressiveness and insight to the subject:

But I have just picked up a mixed sport, and having done so I’d say it was an almost opposite set of information to what you find out about someone from an on-line interaction. On-line you discover how your new friend uses words when they have the time to do it carefully, what they think is funny, how they think and some stuff that’s important to them. At Ultimate I find out how people use their bodies and space, how they deal with failure, pain, stress, and success, how they communicate under pressure, and whether they care about winning.

I just thought that was perfectly phrased. And true, of course.
Amazing Triple Action is selling okay, and feedback is good to great. This pleases me, but I’m hoping to pick up the sales numbers still further as it goes along.
I have realized that D&D reminds me of summer in the Hutt and summer in the Hutt reminds me of D&D. Cool.
