This entertains me on some irrational level and I’ll be quoting it for years. If whales talked like Kiwi boys, this is what it would be like. (The accent is a bit wonky in places, but the vocab is pure New Zild.)
Afrodisiac takes on Dracula in this 70s comic pastiche from the Meathaus crew. “Dracula’s hold over Afrodisiac’s women wavers in the presence of Big Daddy Bad Ass!”
And finally, this video: Where The Hell Is Matt – has been doing the rounds and it deserves to be seen by all. This guy Matt goes places and dances and makes short films out of it. Just lovely, guaranteed to put a smile on your face this Friday.

Have you seen Mitchell and Webb season 2? The interview with a filmmaker who’s made a film about a man with a cough which is just a cough really is most amusing. Not as amusing as the trailer for the numberwang movie, but still gold.

Terra Nova’s one of our journals, actually. I was always really fascinated by Tunguska. But the 70s dream that it was a Jupiter-mass black hole were always fighting Occam’s Razor.
Matt – nope, never seen any of M&W except a few internet clips e.g. the god/bmx superhero bit.

I love that cartoon, but the accents bother me. They sound like New Zealanders pretending to be Australians pretending to be New Zealanders.
Stephen – yes! That’s exactly it! There’s definitely something off about it, and that’s the best expression of what’s wrong that I’ve heard. Some of it is perfect and some of it is soooooo wrong (“hooz” for “hose” was the one that bugged me).
