I got on a plane and flew out of New Zealand for the first time.
One year ago I convinced a bunch of people to stand in the rain on a freezing Wellington evening to commemorate this fact.
Something to do with the then-current fad for flashmobbing, as I recall.
Silly buggers. But I love them for it.
(pic after the cut)
Unsurprisingly, I can’t identify everyone in this photo. Help, anyone?
yay for the two year anniversary! hope this means that your blue passport is burning a hole in your pocket to return you to nz where you can take it upon yourself to run a game for me and the others that I can’t seem to organise!
Left end- Matt then Miriam.Rt end- Owen (with bag), Felice in front of Anne. Marg & Bob also in back.
Thanks for not requesting similar activity this year.
I *think* I’m next to Miriam. I’ve got a feeling that the blue lights are people that are related to you. David Ritchie and Allistair are towards the left end, I believe.
Who’d have thought that a photo of wellington in the rain complete with boy racers would have made me homesick.
*sigh*
I enjoyed my first flashmob – there were two or three strangers joined in too. Listen to Chuck and come back soon.
Love to you and Caroline.
Felice
i still have the haggis you sent
Stays good for a million years.
There be me and Rich somewhere toward the left of the pack. Been a long year!
