  1. I haven’t read the article but I agree with you. Christmas is under seige. Totally, by Godless corporations and by people ho want to strip it of it’s meaning.
    For more than millenia Christmas day has been the day to celebrate the birth of Christ and all that means for the world.
    Now people want to change it into a holiday of peace and fellowship and gift given (and shameless consumerism) and strip it of any real meaning, turning it into a post modern mockery of it has been to millions upon millions of people for hundreds and hundreds of years.
    Yes Christmas is under siege. Ad yes it is by “godless progressives” amonsgt others. And yes I don’t like it.
    Like you have said in previous posts, I am choosing a different path. A path that celebrates many things, family, love, goodwill and peace to *all* people on earth.
    I challenge everyone to look at the “reason for the season” (and no it’s not shameless consumerism or empty post modern overtures of preace and goodwill). At least consider it deeply before you discard it. It really is the the least you can do.

  2. Hmm. I should add that I didn’t read the article simply because I generally disagree with most of what these guys say.
    Basically I have a totally different view of what this faith is and I can’t be bothered reading a bunch of stuff that will almost certainly annoy me.
    Maybe that’s wrong of me, to judge what they say without reading it, but I really do have better things to do with my time, like spamming your blog with my rants 😉
