Marriage Equality vs Thatcher funeral made for a very disorienting Twitter feed for a while! But what a day, and what a morning to wake up to yesterday.
Also, can I give a shout out to the other Member’s Bill of the day being passed – our Mondayisation of public holidays one? By ONE VOTE, and (AFAIK) a very rare instance of a non-Govt Bill being passed despite the incumbent Government voting against it. W00t, etc, and bring on ANZAC Day 2015!
Yes! I watched video of parliament breaking into “Poekarekare Ana” and got teary and proud. A wonderful moment! Bizarre that it happened under National but obviously a moment whose time has come.
Hooray! Plus, we beat the Aussies! Hahaha
