I’m going to leave milk and cookies out for the U.S. electorate for when they shimmy down the chimney to leave Obama under the tree.

I’m wearing my Obama badge today, and I’m checking CNN.com, which I only ever do when there’s an election in the U.S. And I can’t forget how I was feeling this time four years ago:
November 2, 2004
9:53 PM: I’m not nervous about the winner. I’m confident it’s Kerry. I’m nervous that somehow or other Bush and his sickening puppeteers will find a way to walk away with their heads held high. I don’t just want them to lose – I want them and their entire mad project to be humiliated.
11:24 AM: Aargh.

Fanboy. 😛
I´m fairly confident Obama will win, and not at all convinced much will actually change once the dust settles after the ¨everything will change now and magically be wonderful now Bush is gone¨ party is over.
I suppose there is hope for change, at least. Which there won´t be under McCain/Palin.
Anyway.
“not at all convinced much will actually change” –
this is cynical orthodoxy, man. Remind yourself how frickin’ crazy CheneyBush is. Getting that junta out of power is instant huge change.
In the sense that Bush won´t be around to do more Wrong, sure.
Repealing/replacing the laws they passed and reversing/healing the foreign policy disasters they implemented, however, is another thing entirely.
I am hopeful, but far from convinced.
I don’t know, I think Michael Palin would be an awesome VP.
Billy’s post on this same subject is well worth a read. He speaks with wisdom!

Bah! Virus alert for Stuff from our work IT guys, and NZ Herald is locked out, presumably for similar reasons. They’d have to pick the day I’m really interested in the news. 🙁
Morgue, you’re my local comics expert. What do you make of this: http://www.dccomics.com/dcu/comics/?cm=10317 ? Have you read any of them?
John – word is, not really. I’m not a DC guy, or even much of a comics reader at all right now, but I keep up with the industry news and no-one seems to quite know what to make of it.
Factual Opinion do a good series getting people who don’t read comics to pick up comics and try to make sense of them, and they covered this series quite well:
